It comes with 4 main jets , but no pilot jets. You'll need to order a 38 or 40 pilot too.

Per DJ's site, the 2182 is for the KLX250SF.

What else do I need to order? I'm a bit confused, I thought the "kit" supplied by DJ was all I would need.

The kit doesn't come with pilot jets. Some say to up the size on the pilot. I upped mine from stock #35 to #38, and it was too rich so put the stock #35 back in. Many find that the stock pilot is fine unless a big jug is installed (upping 250 cc to something more), but the fuel:air screw may need to be backed out to alleviate an overly lean condition with the stock pilot. Elevation plays a part and it seems may of the near-sea-level riders benefit more from the #38 pilot (I'm at 2,500 ft and ride up from here).

The pilots usually need to be ordered from a kawi dealer or somewhere that stocks this OEM equipment. There is another recent post on which part number it is.

Okay, thanks for the info.

I'm going to have the local Kawi dealership install it so hopefully they will have what is needed, if at all needed.

But any recommendations on where to buy it from anyone else? Amazon does not sell the 2182.

I could order direct from Dynojet but with shipping it's close to $80. I was hoping to find it for less money.

Maybe check with your local independent. Mine ordered one up for about $60.

Look for DJ kit 2152, it is the same as the 2182. It is just designated for the KLX250S. The S and SF bikes have the same carburetor. The 2152 kit is more readily available.

Hmm... took a look at the included parts and they are the same.

Thanks, I'll go that route. (I should have just checked before my thread. )
