Default Wheel Swap- Dirt wheels for SF wheels

I have a complete set of "S" wheels, complete with disks, knobbies, and sprockets. Looking to do an even swap for a set of "SF" wheels.

i smashed my last set of s wheels...broke a spoke and flattened the rim a bit...probably the result of my stiff suspension set-up for highways...and, keeping the sf sprocket gearing didn't work out that well either....it was rather sluggish in the dirt, even with 13/39 gearing on s wheels....

i do enjoy the relaxing long cruise at high speed on the highways on the sf wheels, but the s wheels on this bike is lot more fun...it's so easy to throw around side to side....it feels a little wiggly at high speed because you definitely feel the road more....you feel every crack, bump and uneven pavement more, but it's quite stable if you just relax your grip....

i would trade, if you were local....probably be quick and easy to have both bikes up on lifts and do the swap on the spot...if anybody has s wheels that were never damaged and in good condition, i'll swap for my sf wheels....it's also never have been damaged or fixed and in good condition...sf wheels are fun for mountain paved twisties, but i lost interest in it...i just want to cruise around, commute and take things little slower now....

never shipped such a large heavy items before....if we were to exhange, i was thinking of just doing a wheel swap....keeping the original rotors and rear sprocket....i figure for you, the 14/42 would be a great supermoto set up...you probably want to get a 16t for slow cruising highways...

for me...i figure i'll just get by with the 13 & 15/39 set up...and just swap out the chain and rear sprocket to 42t when time comes to replace them...let me know if you have any idea to weight or shipping....having the bike sit waiting for wheels will make me sad...i get depressed driving in traffic in a car...

FWIW 14/42 on the 17" sumo wheels is a joke. First gear is only good to about 10 miles per hour before you are bouncing off the rev-limiter and the top speed will be about 65 tached out in top gear. 15/42 is closer to stock S and SF gearing but still a bit low.

Also you will need a speedo correcter cause the speedo will be reading 25-30mph higher than it should.

Also plan on around $100 to ship the set of wheels UPS/FedEX as thats what i just cost me to send a set of S wheels i sold to a member here the other week.

Just some food for thought and hopefully no surprises.

thought 14/42 would be equivalent to me running 13/39 on my klx250sf which is my fun set up...14/39 is stock which i would say is nearly equivalent to 15/42....

i just use my gps speedo...but, after installing the larger standing rear tire..my speedo is nearly correct now...

Maybe its because of the big bore that the gearing seemed so short ? Either way i'm going with 15/39 here as soon as i have the extra cash to throw at a sprocket.
