Default What's a fair price?

Okay, thinking of putting my 2012 on the market, regrettably. I know ultimately it's what ever a willing seller and a willing buyer agree on but just looking for your opinions. The bike has 7000 miles on it, Seat Concept seat, Moose cargo rack, Scorpion skid. Good rubber, plus 2 new tires & tubes. A little plastic rash on left side, but otherwise good. No cracks or other damage. All maintenance records. I'm thinking mid $3k but I'd like to know what you'd be looking for if it was yours. I don't need to sell so that's not as issue, just time to press on. Thanks

I think the $3500 range sounds about right.

That sounds high to me. That's what I paid for my bike brand new. Usually any "extras" on a bike do not increase the price, unless very minimally. Sell those separately if you ever want to recoup any money out of them IMO.

7000 miles is a lot for a 2012. $2,500. Since there was no change other than color from 09 on up the resale of a '09 with say 1000 miles is going to sell for more or close to the same price as a '12 with 7000 miles.

$2,500 for quickish sale...$3,000 is reasonable...$3,500 will be very tough

It is rare, but sometimes people are looking for the mods you've done and will pay for them.

^ I agree with ahnh666 pricing strategy.

Since we are talking theoretical here, I wonder what a 351 kit would do to the resale value?

351 would add between nothing and $250, which is about the cost of a used 351 kit.

thats what i would pay anyway.

a properly running 2009+ klx330 or klx351 in excellent condition (no scratches and clean) with the usual jet kit mods and ims larger gas tank seems to sell for about $3,500 here in california....in the past few years..i've only seen 2 come up for sales and both sold within days for about $3,500

I am new here and looking to buy a new KLX250S ASAP. The lowest price I've seen is around $4300 bucks. What is a good price today I should try for when haggling with the dealer?
And I agree that the OP should first try to get top dollar with the upgrades already on the bike; Or if that doesn't work eBay the upgrades.

Thanks for any advice.
