RE: What was your first bike?
my mums bike, the blue one in the middle its a Kawasaki 90cc road bike non of these pix are of my bikes except the KLX
my first bike was a Kawasaki F6, a 1971 125cc trail bike
This was my first road bike a Suzuki T500, it even had a fuel guage, 2 nipples on the tank and a piece of clear fuel tubing between them. It pulled like a train and vibrated like an out of control jackhammer
My first new vehicle of any sort a 1982 Kawasaki GPz550. What a fantastic bike it would eat 750's esp in corners
my next bike google failed me it was an XS250 Yamaha, what a slug
after that I had a Yamaha XS850
and a YZ125J
I then went back to a trailbike, my 2nd brand new vehicle a Suzuki DR250S can't find that in google either
Bought a CX500 Sports
Then my 96 KLR250
And last but not least da da ... my 3rd new vehicle
Cheers ... P.S. its possable I have forgotton 1 or 2

RE: What was your first bike?
1980 Honda XR80 Was my first bike.
Never really ran right... my Dad worked his butt off trying to get it fixed. The Honda shop couldnt get it fixed either. It did however, run fast enough for my brother to crash into a fence and break his arm.
Because he missed an 18 foot gate by 3 feet.
...Stupid hurts

RE: What was your first bike?
I've been following this forum for a few weeks now, and I've finally decided to register. I currently do not own any motorcycle's because of time and financial reasons. However I will own a 250S in the near future. I don't have pictures of all my bikes and but I wanted to list them so I didn't look like a poser. My first bike was a 79 Suzuki GS 750, that my neighbor gave to me. I rode it around our farm until I was tired of wrecking it (street tires). Then I bought an 83 Suzuki GS850 and rode it every chance I got for about three years. I put different handlebars and windshield on it and it was just a wonderful bike to own. However my friends had rockets and I couldn't hang with them in the curves. I traded it for an 83 or 84 Yamaha Seca 900, they only made them for a couple of years. I only had that bike for about a year. It needed front fork bushings which they don't make anymore so I traded it. My latest bike was a 2001 Yamaha YZF R6, what a sweet ride. I rode it all the time on short trips. Then I tried to do all day trips on it and my knees just couldn't take it. (Maybe I'm just a wuss) It was the fastest thing I"ve ever been on. I moved and sold it, now I'm w/o a bike. I read an article about the Kawasaki 250 S and have been hooked ever since. I like offroading and motorcycling so I thought I would buy the 250S and combine the two. Now I just have to wait. I hope this is enough credibilitty to say I'm a motorcycle nut!.

Hey LV that Harley is awesome, what a simple but tasteful design, I guess when all the talk was flying around about the 1200 and the other bike I didn't even take the time to look it up. That is a nice bike to say the least.

Thanks Deej, She is almost done but I got 2 things left I want to do to her. One will be a nice Single Seat as the wife never rides with me and the other will be floating brake rotors. Since I got the Klx now all my extra cash seems to be going to that. Someday though...
