Wow! You hit the jackpot! If you've got a wife or gf, tell her that you just won $1k on E-bay! There's most of a pumper carb and big bore kit.
It even says in the listing that they were only going to auction one of them. Rats!

Yep, I scored big time. And I saved enough money to pay for a lot of upgrades that wouldn't happen if I spent a $1,000 more. Skid plates, Radiator guards, Dirt-Bagz, etc. are all easy for me now.
Patience on Ebay can pay off.

I got the best deal on the klx, It was FREE yes thats right I said FREE!!...... No joking... M.S.R.P. was $4.699 I paid zero, nada. not one redcent. My wife bought it for me as a surprise Christmas gift back in December of 05. One day I was on Kawasaki web site and showed her the bike so she went out and bought it for me and had it delivered to my brother in laws house. When wewent their for Christmas dinner and she asked me to get something in the garage, and their it was, and the rest is history.. Hmmm...... thinking back now their was a lot of money missing out of my bank account that year.........lol.

RE: What is it worth?
In the past 8 months, used bikes have dropped around $800 -- bikes that used to fetch $4,100 now sell in the $3,300 range (per craigslist, cycletrader, ebay, etc.).
In addition to the Utah bike, there was also a new 2007 that sold in CO via eBay for $3,999. It was south of Colorado Springs, outside of Pueblo, I believe. It took the dealership two 10-day auctions to finally sell it -- very odd to see such an amazing price still take almost a month to find a buyer. With the bottom falling out of the KLX market, the end of 2007 model years, and Honda and Yamaha finally competing in the sub-600 DS market, it's a tough time to sell a used KLX.
Bottom line is that brand new 2007 models should be in the low $4,000s at this point. Work backward from there to find your sale price. If it were me, I'd list for $3,800 and expect to get around $3,200 out of it.
Have to adjust my numbers because I just realized you're selling a 2006 model. Take another 10% or so off. I'd list for around $3,500 and expect to get $2,800 - $3,000 max.
