I'm considering selling my 2006 KLX250S. What is a reasonable asking price?

The particulars: Bike is totallystock except forProTaper bars and re-jetted for 7500' (I live in Denver).The bike has just under700 miles on it (mostly street miles).Followed (still following) the factoryRMP limits for break in. Adult owned and ridden. Looks brand newbut, on close inspection theplatics have a few minor scrathes typical to off road use. Changed the oil twice. Clean title and so on.

The ProTaperscame afterbending the stock bars during myfirst and only wipeout on this bike, a 5 mph non-incident which occuredtyring to ride throughthe ditchbetween road and trail.

The bike runs as good and I have no complaints aboutit. I justdon't have enough time to get outin the woods andusethe bike for its intendedpupose.

Seriously I would start at $3800 and see what happens.

 

i grew up in the dirtyou guys just make me miss it so much when i read ya'alls ride reports. tired of the ninja NO WAY[sm=signs006.gif]it would be nice to have a KLX and have the best of both worlds[&o]tho.

 

For $100 dollors. I'll even drive there to pick up personally. Can't ever own too many Kawasaki's.

But seriously, I would start around $4,000 to $3,800. New is like $4,800 to $5,000. I got mine used for $3,600 with 1,800 miles on it. And I put 1,200 miles more on it in the last 5 months.

 

$3547 out the door for a brand new 2007 model. I think you would need to beat that on a used model. However, the used ones around me were all in the $3500 and up range. Maybe they sold to someone else?

 

OK, where can I get a brand new 2007 for $3547 OTD? The "good deals" I've seen are $4500 OTD, and they aren't near me. I'm afraid our local dealers are going to be closer to $5k! These (and DRZs) are in extremely high demand around here and are just not available used.

Anybody got a used one they'd like to sell in OR, WA or ID?
