be carefull the "real filter" gives a good fuel flow rate or you mite have problem with the engine running lean to wot and times of high fuel demand.

I was concerned of that, too, but, with a 331 kit and WOT, I never have had any problem when leaving that filter in.

Big clear filter with a loop so the water never makes it into the carb. Napa.
