Default What type antifreeze

So Im getting ready to do all the motor mods on my bike and figured Id change out the factory antifreeze too. My question is what do you guys recommend for antifreeze. Can I just use any quality antifreeze or do I need something special. Does the antifreeze need to be for aluminum motors. WHat the story guys cause I dont want to put the wrong type antifreeze in it. Thanks.

I'am using Engine Ice by Cycle Logic it is blue some people call it blue ice. It claims to run 50 degrees cooler. At 16.99 per half gallon.

LV, don't use regular automotive coolant, it's got gritty stuff in it. Gritty stuff...my fancy talk.[sm=bangbang.gif] Anyway at most bike shops they have premixed coolant in 1/2 or gallon containers. I you go the other route, auto parts or multifunction store, check the label for diesel approved.

So I cant just use regular automotive antifreeze and whats Diesel apporved got to do with it. I dont mind buying it at a bike shop but I just Know its going to be more expensive then regular antifreeze and if there the same thing why pay the exta money.

In the magazine Motocross Action, december 06 issue, just picked it up, they have a great article on coolant for dirt bikes... it would be worth getting it... they have a great article on brake fluid, and the infamous fuel screw and how to correctly use it... the article is called supercharged water... and some coolants give you more power over others....

look at the techno mumbo jumbo part of the table of contents, they go over oil too...
