What I/you did today on the bike
#74
Mounted some Doubletake mirrors.
Put a ball mount in the stock location, then used a medium arm to connect to the mirrors.
There is no blurring of what's behind you because of vibration.
And now I can just fold them in when I go off-road, instead of taking the mirrors off.
Not a cheap upgrade, but 100% worth it to me.
Hope I feel that way about the Rally Foot Pegs...I finally got tired of standing on those tiny pegs and figured my foot comfort is worth it on long days standing. We'll see, not sure how much longer for those, placed the order when the Bigfoot thread was going. It was supposed to be 60 days+...not sure what day we're at, but it feels close to 60.

I used a long arm on my left one, even better than a medium for getting that mirror up and out to the perfect position. IMHO

I live near Thousands of Motorcycle Products in Stock and Ready for Immediate Shipment - Whitehorse Gear. It's a small warehouse/store. Not much for the KLX crowd other than gear. Still nice to have locally. They still don't carry an 18" tube. They were the go to KLR farkle place if you live locally.
Oh yeah. Thread pitch...M10 x 1.25. RAM part # RAM-B-349U
Medium arm = RAM-B-349U

Best way to tighten the ball is to attach all of it and then tighten the clamp and use it to screw the ball down tight, then loosen it all up to adjust the mirror properly.
Took me a minute to figure that out...
