Wow, you did an outstanding job. What did you use to trim it? Were you able to bevel the cut at all? I agree, could be difficult to see.

Dremel and sand paper, take your time and without the bezel gives it a different look

Took the tires off the rims to get the rims powder coated black, works a lot easier with a third spoon

Tire irons, tire spoons..... Doing it on the floor helped with leverage, no more trips to dealer to get tube changed

Ran out of gas.
I damaged my aux tank a while back and had to remove it for repair, leaving me with just the 2 gallon stocker.
A heavy right wrist and 84 miles later I was exactly between two gas stations, both about 1 1/2mi away, and both uphill.
Luckily an H-D stopped and went to get me some gas, but before he returned a tree guy stopped and gave me some pre-mix.
Yes, a 4 stroke can run on pre-mix (it was only 60:1).
Today I made an appointment to drop off my aux tank to get welded up.

I had a rear flat so i changed out my tube for a bridgestone ultra heavy duty and i swapped the tire for a dunlop d606. I went with the 130/90-18. Definitely a beefy tire. Yeah it's a bitch to mount. Especially with two talon rim locks.
