What I/you did today on the bike

R/R Signal Light Replacement
Right after buying the m/c noticed that the R/R signal light wasn't quite horizontal, Bending/twisting it couldn't make it "right". 1500 miles later it disconnected from the mounting and managed to fry itself on the muffler. Bought a new one from CyclepartsOutlet - good pricing, but not real fast on shipping.
Did the installation today and couldn't hardly believe the total numer of fasteners I removed to get at the connector where you unplug the signal light assembly - 16!! Maybe could of gotten by with loosening, but not removing, two of them. I'm speaking of the design on an '09.

I installed the BB331 with the help of a buddy - actually, he did most of the work.
He had to cut out early, so we test started it minus header and exhaust and it worked. Surprisingly it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. Will give it a proper test today if it stops raining. Can't wait!

Took my KLX to a riding ranch..
Finally got my KLX out to Rocky Ridge - One of the riding ranches in N. Tx. - Sand, rocks, gravel, hard pack, mud, we have it all at these ranches.. The KLX did GREAT!! It's still running the stock Dumlops but was surefooted over everything.. My daughter was on her KTM 105 behind me so I didn't ride full speed or attack jumps. The stock suspension with stock settings was excellent, comfortable, and a real joy.. (I'm 220lbs.) Also, I liked being able to see my daughter in the mirrors instead of constantly looking bac - for when I've gone too fast for too long and she lags behind..
This clip is me on one of the climbs out there.. No sense in trying to describe how steep and technical this hill is when the camera, the KLX, and my showing off (Waving) makes it look simple.. But, I had to ride a fellas CRF450X up this thing for him as he couldn't make it up..
