As I'm a little confused as to where the thread went. I'll stick to the questions.
The little metal bracket thingy could be used for the wires. Maybe its used for the optional kickstart, to hold the kicker in the up position when not in use.
As for the rubber wheel. Chain stopper. It prevents the drive chain from coming up to much and cutting into something else. Just like the guides on the bottom for the swing arm. The difference is the wheel turns so it doesn't get chewed up, unlike the guides that get grooves worn in them.

The rubber chummy: well once i took the wife 4 a ride. 350 pounds is a bit much 4 this bike! on bumps i would hear this rumbly sound. It was this roller hitting the chain. Dont know what would have happened if it wasnt there. The metal loop: maybe its a hanger for when they paint the frame at the factory. Just a guess!

Welcome diji. Have a gawk at deejs signature. I think we all fit that 4th person category.lol. (My 3 best friends are normal) but as u seen some go overboard after 1 to many! thanx 4 enlightening us on the 2 issues that started all this. Relic.
