How about $8.50 a gallon here in the UK!

Costs $130 to fill our family car up!
yeah but the UK actually has a good mass transit system. the US is so spread out and has too many "environmentalists" that hurt their own cause by preventing mass transit to save some frog that may or may not live in a swap that the train would go through [>:]

i have to drive almost an hour to get to the nearest transit stop.

I don't even have a transit option where I live yet. They were goign to get trains out here but that would mean spending more money and bulldozing a school...which I'm sure needs to be bulldozed anyway.

RE: What is everyone paying for gas?

When I was overseas in Western Afghanistan, diesel there was going for the equivalent of 13 cents a gallon, and gasoline was like 27 cents...They get all there fuel directly from Iran. People that own a bus company or a cab company often get there gas for free....

RE: What is everyone paying for gas?

bastards. Curious about the UK...yes they pay about double what we pay at the pumps....but while I was in Ireland, I thought I saw a tiny compact car (don't remember the kind) advertised to be leased for like....300 pounds a month??? For that price you could lease a sweet vehicle here. What gives, do they prefer you don't drive stuff over there?

RE: What is everyone paying for gas?

I pulled this off a website for gas prices in calgary, this is the upper range what people are paying:

105.4 pennies for regular
116.4 pennies for premium
and

120.9 PENNIES FOR DIESEL?!?!?!?!??!

This is per liter, not sure what that is in gallons.

People are going to stop buying diesel engines soon.

RE: What is everyone paying for gas?

Thought I'd sign in with pricing from the Stockton, CA area (mid state).

Diesel @ $3.999
Reg (87 octane) @ $3.459
Safeway Store, Reg @ $3.519
(mentioned only because they are usually much less than competition)
The above pricing is from the Fuel Pricing website mentioned earlier.

FWIW: I filled the motorhome at Flying J in Lodi, CA four days ago and it cost me $313.50 for #2 diesel. ($4.189 pr gal)

How does that grab ya?
