miles vrs valve adjustment
Man, I am impressed with some of the mileage you all are getting on these bikes, Just a reminder, anyone who has experience with the older version klr's the thing that usually kills them is valve adjustments, and of course not changing out the oil, my understanding is the heads on both klr and klx run the cams in a journal that is cut directly in the head, there is no bearing to replace, if the surface is gouged or damaged you need a new head, so keep those engines running with clean oil and keep those valves adjusted, and then ride the shat out of them on my brothers.

3385 miles pulling in the parking lot coming back from lunch. About 90% off road. Harrisonburg VA. Not quite a year old. I've got a buddy in Flagstaff he has a either 1999 or 2000 KLX 300 (can't remember for sure). He says just change the oil every three years or so LOL. From what I've heard and seen these things are about the most reliable bike since the mini trail 50.
