The weirdest thing happened...
The other day my buddy and I rode down to the local motorcycle and auto parts store to get a size 40 pilot jet because I finally got a kouba screw.
On the way home I was riding up a hill at 60 miles an hour around 6000 or 7000 rpm. The bike was pulling strong then at the top of the hill it kinda jerked twice then kept running strong. Is this a jetting problem or a slipping problem? road was dry.
Thanks,
Andy
P.S. Today I tore apart the carb and opened the kouba package. The end of the kouba screw was bent and the idiot at the store must have givin me a jet for a fcr carb not a cvk, even tho I asked him 5 times if he was sure it would fit a cvk carb because its not the same as a regular dirtbike carb

I have the 38 pilot in mine and the 351 kit. I tried the 40 pilot with the 250 and it was way too rich. I wouldnt worry about that jerked twice thing unless it happens again. could be a number of things.

Glad you finally got screwed......er....
I've learned the hard way to take a "sample" of the part I'm looking for, to the dealer/parts store. The guys who actually know what they're doing never work there.

Well I got my money back and now I know take a sample for next time. I also found a website called jetsrus.com has cvk jets!
What is the grounding problem?!? I tried finding the thread but came up with no good results.
Is Improper grounding also why my bike takes like 5 minutes to warm up with choke on. If I wait less than that bike dies as soon as I give any throttle with choke off.

Read through the long thread "Surge at 6500 rpm at highway speed"
https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...y-speed-34470/
Basically, the voltage rectifier needs a more solid ground, directly to the motor.
DavidR saw some ignition circuit/firing "anomalies" and it seems to be fixed with better grounding. Couple other guys say the same.

No...completely unrelated. You might be able to fix that cold nature by turning your A/F screw 1/4 turn OUT...that may give it just a bit more fuel at idle.

Blackheart58 I can't really turn it any more because I'm already running pretty rich.
Would I be running so rich because I have stock filter, lid (no snorkel), and with airbox screen in? Should I get different filter an cut out screen? I just took lid off yesterday.
Also I know bike runs hot whe it's lean. Can running rich damage the bike also?!?!
