Had to Google AGM battery. The newer type of sealed nonspillable maintenance free valve regulated battery uses "Absorbed Glass Mats", or AGM separators between the plates. This is a very fine fiber Boron-Silicate glass mat. These type of batteries have all the advantages of gelled, but can take much more abuse. These are also called "starved electrolyte." Just like the Gel batteries, the AGM Battery will not leak acid if broken. By www.batteryplex.com.

Thats true....I only expect to get two years out of my $37 dollar batt...a REAL Yuasa is the way to go....but more than double or close to triple in coin for the real white plastic sob. But the wait for one made me get the cheapo...but I already got two years on the aftermarket sob.

My point was that most buy black aftermarket agm's....THOSE are all made in the same factory in China regardless of the sticker.

yah i definitely need a new battery, i had a vector "smart battery charger" laying around in the garage and put the battery on charge and it says its full LOL. But as soon as you go to start it the voltage dies and slow to turn over.

If you jump it it starts right up like a champ. This vector charger also has what is called a "battery recondition" mode that is supposed to break up the sulfate by using a series of electrical pulses. I tried that too and it reconditioned the battery for 24 hours , same result. I guess it's on to buying a battery.

I'd prefer the cheaper one just because I don't feel like waiting for the Yuasa to come in. Thanks for all the help guys!

If don't want to wait, find an Interstate dealer warehouse. They will more than likely have the battery on hand, except for dealers.
