Default Which way to turn to stiffen front forks?

I just bought a d tracker/ 250sf in Thailand. I read the FAQ and did searches and read the manuals online. No answer. I want to stiffen the forks, I' be got 300 lbs on this bike and have to go 500 miles home. Can you tell me to turn the screw at the bottom of the forks clockwise or counterclockwise to stiffen the forks.

300LB! You'll need heavier springs my friend. I don't think the compression adjustment will help .

You should have read in the manual that the bike is set up for 155 pounder. You're going to need new forks, you might get away with putting a heavier oil in them.
For the time being, turn in (clockwise) to stiffen.

Actually, I'm only 190 lbs but I have another 50+ pounds of gear on board like gas, tools, tires, sidebags, rack, topbin, and electronics. This is just a temporary setting. Anyway, does anyone have an answer, I'm on an iPhone and can't access large files like the manual. I have a Thai manual which is just jibberish. So I just rode halfway home but I still have another 250 miles to go. It would be nice to have a firmer ride.

Turn the clickers all the way in clockwise, and turn the rear spring adjuster so it compresses the spring some. Don't listen to these guys, I weigh 240 and had another 50 pounds on the bike on my Canada trip and it was just fine. I mean they are right we need new springs there is no doubt, but the adjustments will help for now.

I think the answer clockwise was posted above, in between suggestions of new forks. I'm always a fan of when in doubt, Righty Tighty.

For now? Deej you were like the first person in the US to have a KLX250S. Isn't it going on over 4.5 years?
