Heck, i wave or nod at everyone who looks at me. Here in Thailand if they see me I let them know I appreciate it! From Water Buffalo herders, iron buffalo operators, kids, elephant mahoots, it doesn't mater, if they see me I am happy!

Most "big" bikes here are foreigners anyway and most times we will stop and "rub" noses. Just the other day riding around scouting places to put a geocache I passed by a DRZ400 heading the opposite, he flipped and it turned out to be a guy I know on the internet from Laos on his way to Chang Mai which is a long haul on a dual sport! So we finally met in person.

scouting places to put a geocache
Cool. I just entered the GPS world last weekend with a Nuvi 500 (liked the bike freindly and hike friendly with topo and street maps - girl inside even says "Turn left in .4 miles..." cool.
My daughter and I went online and downloaded a couple geocashe here locally and that is pretty fun.
Sounds like great adventure for a dual sport too.

Wow, not in LA.
That's cool!

Keep on banging the drum Psea!
Later.

I always drop the hand down and acknowledge the other bikers...all of them...it's my opinion that the wave is our unspoken way of reminding each other to ride safe. I also nod to the other drivers to acknowledge their awareness of us on bikes....kinda like saying thanks for watching out for me. BUT most of all I love the waves I get from the young kids on the sidewlks hollering at me as I ride by..."Your bike looks coool!"...those are the best!

Anyone ever get the kids doing the wheelie signals? I havn't gotten any yet this year, but last 2 summers got it quite often.. Ha, unfortunately with the stock KLX I was unable to do one anything past 2nd gear with my skill level.

In Philly, the City of Brotherly Love? Say it ain't so. I mean, it's not like those folks would boo Santa or anything, right?

Just messin' with ya, man. I think the vibe in any major metro area is a lot less friendly than the boonies. Just human nature.
