Want an aftermarket shift lever from IMS?

Want an aftermarket shift lever from IMS?
Here's an email thread that I have had with someone at IMS concerning them offering a shift lever for our bike. They seem responsive and potentially open to eventually offering a shift lever. If interested, please let them know that there is demand for this product by emailing them: info@imsproducts.com

Thanks Dan, I will be sure to forward your ideas onto the appropriate
person. I know that as of the moment, we have no plan for a shift lever or
tank for this model, but that could always change if they feel there is
enough interest in generated. Have a good one!

Hi,
Well I ordered a KLX300 shift lever (P/N 313119) from one of your
distributors and I'm sorry to say that it does not fit the 2006-2007
KLX250S. Check out the comparison photos here:

The KLX250S is becoming a very popular bike and users are clamoring for an
aftermarket solution to the inferior stock shift lever. I'm a member of the
KLX250S forum at www.kawasakiforums.com and
there have been many posts on this topic. Do you have any plans to offer
the Flightline for the KLX250S?
Sincerely yours
Dan Moore
P.S. I'm sure that you could beat Clarke by offering a better aftermarket
fuel tank too. The stock tank is a woefully small 1.9 gallons.

RE: Want an aftermarket shift lever from IMS?
Just e-mailed IMS, hope it helps as I just found out tonight that my size 11 Thors do not work well with the stock shifter, not well at all and called Rocky Mountain ATV and got no help at all. Hope my input can get something going on this very soon.

RE: Want an aftermarket shift lever from IMS?
I looked at the parts diagrams and found that the shaft that the lever goes on is not the same for the 300r or the old 250r. The 250s and I think it was the klx or klr650 do share the same shaft although not the same lever. Looks like we need to keep pushing ims for it.
