Vrede's 2009 KLX250SF Build
After much searching and debating I decided to purchase my first motorcycle this past April. I couldn't be happier with my decision.
I have only had one issue with the bike, because it was stalling at lights. Even after running for an hour or so. It turned out to be debris in the carb. Looks like it happened from the factory or when they built the bike. No worries though, it was all fixed during the 600 mile check.
I have been pretty busy in the past 5 months modding the bike. First I added the Edge Fender Eliminator. I was able to reuse the stock turn signals, however, I will be replacing those with small LED ones later in the year. After, that I added the 7/8 Renthal motocross bars in Grey, Zeta folding levers (clutch and brake), Acerbis supermoto handguards, Aluminum throttle tube and Renthal Dual Compound grips. And just last week I added the Leo Vince Slip-on.
I still need to rejet and perform some airbox mods, but otherwise she is complete. Enjoy!

You can see on the back right I have already laid it down and broke my ankle. So I have only been back on for a few weeks now. Laying it down really screwed with my head in the turns, but gotta get back up on that horse.

YIKES! Sorry to hear of the mishap.
Here's something that helps me, maybe it will help you....in hard corners: Kiss the mirror. That means; get your head to the inside far enough that your face is getting close to the mirror. It puts your body closer to the correct position than you might normally get, which distributes your weight better, and keeps you in the right position to make adjustments to your line, if needed.
To be honest, I don't ride my KLX that way, but, it's not a Supermoto. I do ride my CB919 that way, and I'm much faster and much more in control in corners.
Be safe out there!
