Voltage issue?

Voltage issue?
Having some battery issues recently, was thinking it was the battery and i was planning to buy a new one, but, i charged the battery outside of the bike with a charger, measured it, was 12.6v fully charged. Then i put it on the bike, fire it up, measure the voltage, on idle was around 13v but when i was reving up to 5000 rpm voltage wouldnt increase, was around 13 volt all the time. Is it how it supposed to work, or i need a new stator or rectifier? Bike is a 2009 klx250s efi.

Have you done any diagnostic work on the charging system? Likely culprits, and can be more than one, are battery, regulator/rectifier, stator, wiring/connectors, and (mine is carbs) adding the spare ground to the R/R. That single wire fixed mine.

I have checked the voltage and the Ω at the stator. Ω is slightly off at 1.1, limit is 1.0 at the manual. The voltage was great. So either the wiring or the rectifier!!

40something at idle 60 plus when Reving around 3-4k. Manual list 41v plus at 4000. It checked cold.

Explain😄 you mean instead of battery minus to use another spot? If yes, it shows less volts.

Do you know how to search the forum? These things have already been asked and answered. Search first...then ask if you can't find the answers. Try tis:

I'm not picking on you, but asking a genuine question. The format of forums absolutely sucks...but it is what we have.
Likely searches around the problem (not the solution, obviously) may be things like "low voltage."
Did the link I posted help? That was my bike. the parent thread has still more data.
