Voiding Warranty??
Hey guys I was wondering how Doing all these mods that you read about here. Doesnt that void the warranty??? I Know that I have to take my car to an Authorized repair shop to work on it or it Voids the warranty. I know that my owners manual says that you are not allowed to tamper with the emmision controll system.... Amongst other things..pages 70-74

RE: Voiding Warranty??
Well I had the shop install the Muzzy and the jetting, I didn't mess with the hoses or that other stuff. If you have a good dealer they will not leave you hanging if something goes wrong, after all they love warranty work.

RE: Voiding Warranty??
The owner of the Kawasaki dealership I use explained that he wouldn't give me any hassle on warranty work unless it was more than painfully obvious that I had done something to cause the failure.
They have to retain certain parts that they warranty for the Kawasaki rep to inspect and if that part has been modified then the dealer will get charged back for the repair.
Example: If you drill holes in your muffler then that part would not be warrantable but the rest of the bike would be.

RE: Voiding Warranty??
there's a law out there some where. I've seen it when i use to do stuff to cars. I don't know if it's the same for bikes but it states that you can do mods to your car and as long as that part you put on the car isn't affecting what happeded to the car then they have to warrenty that part that broke. it's got some loop holes in it but i've used it a couple of times.

It's called the The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
I'm sure that most Kawasaki dealers will treat you fairly without even mentioning this law.
