VERY educational wheelie video
I found this tonight on youtube. Yes the guy is riding a DRZSM, but watch it anyways. He actually teaches you how to wheelie by riding with him. It is a great 10 minute video just to watch as some of the things he does are unbelievable. He does state that the DRZ usually sits while the KTM gets ridden. Nonetheless, the DRZ does pretty amazing stuff I didn't even think were possible. I think you'll enjoy.

One finger????? sounds like a good idea..... not. But he is good.
Iowa, just thaught you would like to know, Patrick, the producer of dirtbike tv, gave me his fully muzzy, which i gave to nate(digitaloverkill) Patrick went back to his stock head pipe and a two bros, carbon muffler, the first one made actually, in carbon, He said he can pull thefront up in 3rd now and he couldnt with the muzzy. Take that info how ever you want it.... smaller pipe, more torque down low, bigger head pipe flows better up high.... but looses torque down low... But i thaught you would like that he gave his full muzzy away to go back to stock head pipe.

+1 on head pipe size vs low end torgue. Unless you plan on adding a 300 or 331, you will notice some loss of low-end grunt with the larger head pipe if you are honest with yourself....I did. I really like the way she winds-out with a full system though and when I add another 82cc next winter I'll have completely forgot aboutany low torque loss.[8D]

Not only was it a power issue, the muzzy was too loud to be legal according to Pat's db meter. I think my stock 300 pipe was the quietest there with the 2 brother's close behind that and the muzzy/big guns were a good bit louder. I know that when riding in a pack of 4 or 5 bikes that when Jsac cracked on the BG it was loud and clear who it was.
As far as power goes I was running high 3rd gear with stock gearing and Patrick would pull up beside me and loft the front and ride it out for quite a ways with what appeared to be very minimal effort.
Back on the original topic, that was a pretty good video, looks like the DRZ is pretty potent as a street tard.

If I had my KLX back, I would do the big-bore kit and a FCR35, and new tires. But still, I don't think I'd be fully happy after riding my new bike. It's just so powerful I wouldn't want much more in a bike like this. I am in the process of jetting it and opening up the airbox to improve throttle response. Next year I may add a Yoshimura RS3 exhaust sytem like the guy in the video had. It wasn't too loud imo.
You're a good friend for giving away a $450 exhaust system. The muzzy is a fine piece, only reason I didn't buy it was because everyone had one and the BG seemed like a very cool alternative, plus it fit the bike better according to research.
