Does anyone have a theory why it's the intake valves that tighten up?
I'm working on a non-running 2003 Suzuki Carry (660cc) truck for the second time right now. A year ago I found all six intakes too tight to get a .002 gauge under, reshimmed it (to the thinnest shim they make) and got .009 clearance. 1000 miles later its back w/ no intake clearance again. Exhaust are fine both times. I'm working on pulling the head right now.

Thanks for the reminder!! Checked mine tonight, one intake and one exhaust were out of spec. Luckily my buddy had that same Hotcams kit EMS posted above and got it shimmed nice. Started it up and noticed difference immediately. It's funny how you don't notice the gradual performance decrease, but when it all gets fixed at once it's like a light switch was flipped.. You see the light! hahaa
