Vacuum Cap question
Hey guys. Just removed all my smog hoses tonight, and am going to the auto parts store tomorrow to get the rubber caps tocover the openings.
I tried searching for it here, but I remember there was one brand of caps you said were pretty crappy and nottoo use compared to the others. If someone can remind me of what thosewere or even just tell me what brand your're using, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks- JOSH

RE: Vacuum Cap question
HELP! Brand caps rot very quickly. My solution was to use a short section of the hoses that were installed originally, find a bolt that fits snugly inside them, cover the bolt with silicone and run it down in the hose. Then I covered that with the HELP! cap to make sure the bolt stays in. For the front of the engine I whipped up an aluminum blockoff plate. I've been riding like this all year, no problems since going with the bolt method.

RE: Vacuum Cap question
I use a block-off plate in the front anda high quality plug for the airbox(could have just as well been a bolt in a short section of hose). I didn't bother with plugging the vacuum nipple on the carb....just put in a pumper and it won't be an issue
