Its also a good reminder for those long out of the way rides to carry an extra new master link, I do and it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing its there.

good tip deej Are the masterlinks different for o ring chains vs non o ring chains? I need to get a couple links and just thought about the possible outside width difference.

I carry an extra master link and a miniature chain breaker and a tow strap in case all else fails.
