Considering doing a 340cc kit upgrade getting the 250cc barrel sleeved, not wanting any down time I was hoping I might be able to source a used 250cc barrel cheap. Anyone got one kicking around? I don't mind if it's in the US as that's where I'd probably get the work done.
Thanks anyway but after doing the sums I decided to invest the money in a new bike rather than over capitalising in the KLX. I think the KLX is a great bike but it just became easier to go for a newer design bike for the mainly off road riding I do. I did this as an edit as I didn't want it to look like a mass exodis from the KLX as I think it is the perfect bike for anyone that wants to mix road riding with the dirt.

TINTMAN, sorry no I haven't a spare barrel, but would, by means through YOU, be very interested in what the process is all about to achieve your goal. I personally think that if it can be done to a good outcome, then this could rewrite the book on the "BIG-BORE" process per-say for the KLX250s. Hopefully free up funds for Head and Cam work ( front fork springs, gold valves for both front and back, and to top it all of a "TREMOR38 Yoshimura TMR-MJN34 Pumper, if I hadn't a Mikuni Pumper already, this would of been my best choice ) So please keep us all posted, I'm about 3 months away from this final advancement, so by then, maybe you will of written the book so to speak, NOBRAKES has done and written so much so far, if he were to formate it in book form PDF, I feel he could sell it as the "KLX250s Bible" ( would have to include this project of yours as well TINTMAN, to make the book complete )
