Nobrakes: I would assume a dry weight is 100% dry--meaning not only no fuel, engine oil, coolant, but also no brake fluid, suspension fluid, battery acid, blinker fluid ()--everything.

Well, that would explain some of the dry weights that come out of these manufacturers. Maybe the also put them in a kiln and bake and dehumidify for 3 weeks before putting them on the scale.

It looks like you have some heavier tires than stock too.

Quite an obsession with the weight of these with these portly little 250 bikes lately, I don’t really get it since I’m not competing on it.
It is what it is; but I do my part to lighten it up where ever I can.
Kawasaki obviously morphed the affordable and robust KLR into the KLX, the new MX’er styling has some of us expecting more out of it I guess.

Who's spokeperson are you?
I wasn't asking a question.

ROFLMAO, well I guess yours? Kind of like G.W. Bush. He'll make statements that don't sound too intelligent or sway a bit from the truth; and then his spokespeople or secretaries will mold it into something that sounds like what he said but puts it into a more intelligent, easier to understand, more factual statement.
ps. I don't think I've ever asked you a question but seems like you're right on my heels offering up your opinion on whatever I've just said.

What the hell are you even talking about?
I made a statement, never changed, added or "molded" anything to it, stay off the drugs.
