Default United Motors DSF 200

LOL. I had a chance to ride one of these today. http://www.bmstampa.com/new_vehicle_...nufacturer=829 It wouldn't stay running at first so I warmed it up for a while. The dealer threw a tag on it and let me take it out. It had 19 miles and ran like Poop. It sounded like doo doo too. It had decent power but the faster you punched it the more it would "cut out" Like there was dirt in the carb or a loose ignition wire. I posted this in the KLX Forum because I assume they are trying to compete with the KLX 250s. There is no chance they will be competitive with Kawi any time soon. The speedometer didn't workso I can't say how fast it might go but they told me 82 Mph. It made me really appreciate the fine craftsmanship of the Kawasaki's. I so love my KLX250s.

It only has a 200cc air cooled motor... so you can't expect too much. It probably will run ok with some jetting. I bet they have it running super lean to pass EPAemmissions.

82mph definitely sounds optimistic.

I read a review that said 45 was comfortable cruising speed but above that felt like pushing it. All I can say is after owning the Kawi & then test driving the UM, I made the right choice for me even at $1800 USD higher price. I almost bought one when I first got the Jones for a Dual Purpose without even test driving one.

That's weird, the guy that works for me was telling me about this Kawasaki 200 cc that he found on e-bay, I tried to convince him that it wasn't a Kawasaki, so we finally found it and it was that exact bike in your post. I told him to stay away from it, probably chinese made. NO THANKS!!!!! I wouldn't want one if it was free.

I just couldn't believe with only 19 miles how ratty this thing was. one of the cheap rear signal lenzes was flopping in the breeze, the carb needed work, it really sounded buzzy & tinny. everything just seemed cheap and being air cooled it should retail at about $999 but the dealer was trying to get $2999 OTD.
