Default Unabiker radiator guards - Major fitment issues?

I ordered unabiker radiator guards for my 07 from justgastanks on eBay. I have only fit the right side on and already, the fitment is appalling. Unless someone can show me how I am totally doing this wrong.

1. The threaded cross support braces seem too long. It's almost as if they are for a different bike.

2. On the left side of the bike, the horn bracket seems in the way. I can't even try and mock fit the face guard without sawing off the horn bracket.

I have sent them a note asking to check if they shipped me the wrong model. The instructions sheet that came with them clearly says its for an 06 though.

Anyone else that have installed these have any tips or thoughts?

Mine weren't a smooth install. One of the rods was just a little too long. Figured out what was going on just before things went REALLY sideways, a little bit of fine tuning and it went well. Mine's '09 and the horn mount is lower down, so wasn't an issue.

Sure looks as though you got some (mostly?) wrong parts for sure.

I figured out half of it. The horn bracket turns out to be not be a problem. With a little bit of wiggling, the guard slips in underneath. The issue of the cross brace rod thingy being too long still remains and I am waiting to hear back from the vendor.

The guards look great and finish seems top notch. But boy do their instructions and packaging suck. Thanks for your thoughts guys,

FWIW, now that you have experienced the "precise" fit and "perfect" instructions provided with aftermarket stuff, all my aftermarket stuff required some head scratching before I got it fitted, and some of it, I would have sworn there was no way to do it, before the "Aha" moment.
That being said, that one piece seems too long, or it connects to somewhere else, like the side brace just below your hand?
Good luck, hope you get it figured out.

I don't remember having any trouble installing mine.
That rod looks way long. Like MaxP said maybe it goes somewhere else? Is one side of the radiators wider than the other on our bikes?
Good luck with it.
Dan
