Default ugghhh! moral of story, don't wait till las min

just have to vent.....so i'm getting ready to go to the tour de apalachicola this weekend. i've known for weeks i need to change my rear tire out but just went to do it tonight and i'm leaving tomorrow night. well, i change the tire, go to air it up and dang it, there's a hole in the tube!! must have pinched it, its one of those real thick hd tubes. no biggie i have a spare (my original tube). i check it first and sure enough it has a huge hole in it!!so now i have to try to do it on my lunch break tomorrow.
ok....i'm calm now, thanks

whats the big thing about "tour de apalachicola", is it a widely know preplanned ride or is it just in the site's community?

Didn't you get a used 300 assembly? If so maybe that's just plain wore out. Or when you cut out the screen it was blocking much more air than we all thought and it leaned it out alot more than expected. Between the 250 and 300 upgrade I believe NoBrakes said that he didn't adjust his jetting, and that was running a 125 main jet (Kawasaki main not a dynojet).

Thanks Bryan, it's probably something simple (blocked vent line, vacuum leak etc). I was tired and fustrated last night and it was real late for me..... , I'm going to do a compression test first during my lunch break and go from there. I did put the kawi 125 main back in last night to no avail.........I got jets going all the way up to 132 main and up to 42 on the pilot.

If you played with the diaphram and needle at all, that would warrant a close look as well.

Is your smog gear either hooked upor plugged off? That vacuum line on the side of the carb being off or not plugged will make it run awefully.
