I run Kendas, "Washougal Sticky 90~100X21" and a "Track Master 120~100X18".
For tight trails I run 12X42 or 15X42 if mostly road/logging road. I don't want to spin the rear wheel going through mud and roots, the track master might be more tire than I need but it sure works good. If I want to go sideways I will ride my 520 KTM.

I used to ride/race 125 CR/RMs and you don't want to put too much tire on them. If you are racing your KDX then all changes. I run the same tires on my 400 DRZs and happy with them also.

Sorry I don't know any thing about putting a kick starter on the 09s. If I had trouble with the E button I would put one on post haste.

On my 75 XL 125 I run 100~100X18 and like Linkin5 said I think it might spank a stock 250 KLX[off road].

Of course some one has a stocker KLX that will tear up my KTM.

I am in area where everybody has custom choppers and Harley's with everything, seems like they all want my 09 KLX 250SF. It has been the center of conversation many a days.

Guys-appreciate the input. I am looking into the kick start kit. I believe HB stated that you need to put a modified peg or older peg on the 09's or later.

As far as the tire goes.. I have the stock ones on there. I took them on woods and logging trails and it beat the living **** out of me. I left out air in both tires and softened the right. I figure you'd have more pull with a larger tire. I am into more mud and hard dirt with heavy rock than anything. I will probably end up getting the big bore kit. I went with the klx250s because it has a larger frame and you can man handle it. I just want to have raw power but I am asking to much from a small motor.... also I do not want to buy a hole new rear end suspension... after that in all the mods... might as well bought a better bike.... Just got some GBC gator atv tires.. going for off road tires for the enduro now...
