Two Brothers Exhaust
Does anyone know how loud the Two Brothers slip on is with thePower tip sound suppressor in? And which sound suppressor would be the quietest? I was waiting for the FMF but I don't see that happening anytime soon as I've been checking since December and they keep saying it's in the works. Two Brothers also says that with the Sound Suppressor it is about 93dbs which is about the same as what the Q2 claims also. Also, which power tip would be the best? I need to take my skill test for my license with this bike so I also want to be able to have it kind of quiet. I have heard mostly all good about the Two Brothers from everyone and I'm thinking about ordering it.
Thanks,
Thanks,

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust
I have the P3 tip and it really made it quieter. Its a smaller dia opening but it sounds just right for me and oddly enough the seat-of-the-pants feel seems like it gave it more bottom end power with the added backpressure from the tip. I wish I had a P2 tip to compare it too because it has a larger opening. Im not sure what the DB's are but its not bad at all with the tip, you shouldnt have any problems with the test.

TheTwo Bros pipe is too loud for me. I have the P4 tip on order but I'm told it won't ship till the end of July. I ordered the P1 to hold me over, and I should be able to give you an opinion later in the week.

RE: Two Brothers Exhaust
What is the difference between the P1 and the P4? It looks like the P4 works without the spark arrestor and the P3 works with the spark arrestor and the P1 works without like the P4?
Thanks for the input JB1 and RC927, let me know what you think witht the tip in. I'm really leaning towards the Two Brothers.

Just put in th p1 tip and was disappointed to see that I had to remove the spark arrestor. Is this the case with the P3? It is a little late to fire it up, so I'll report on it soon. The tip doesn't seem to be any smaller than the core.

I think I run the p2 (would have to check 2 bros site again). It is the one designed for use without spark arrestor and has the large hole. you can run it with spark arrestor if a small gap between pipe and endcap is ok with you. I believe I sound checked at 88 a few weeks ago but for mn trail rides theyran less than 3000 rpm ( poss 25-2700) i was shocked it was only 88 as i felt it wasgoing to be tough to pass sound check.

The pipe is loud, but after I let my friend take it for a ride around the neighborhood I feel that its not obnoxiously loud. I do plan on buying a tip just so I can be a little less noticeable. I do like that people “see” me more – I haven’t had one person pull out in front of me since I put the pipe on! Just a crack of the throttle and I see drivers heads pop right up.
I've talked to a couple people at Two Bros and they recommend the P4. They say the P1 just takes the edge off and that the P3 is too restrictive for this bike. I'm going with the P4.
BTW, I run with 13 tooth CS, no snorkel, Uni air filter, 128 main, 40 pilot, 2 ½ turns out on fuel screw, and it runs great! I highly recommend replacing the stock air filter.
Does this pipe need repacked every 10 hours at $30?? I hope not, but that’s what the 2 Bros website says. The site also mentions that this pipe, as well as ANY aftermarket pipe, is illegal.
I did experience a leak at the clamp – I would recommend a wet finger test around there! Just poke around with a finger before it warms up to feel for air. I took the thing apart and put some high temp RTV on it and no more leak. Oh, and the mounting hole didn’t line up perfect. I had to fight it a little but it finally lined up enough to thread the bolt in.
Has anyone else noticed a staple inside their pipe?

I just put the P1 on and it does take the edge off. The back side of the P1 is beveled to fit the bevel on the core so I couldn't use the spark arrestor. Two Bros said they will work with together, but I think the gap will look horrible. I think the P4 has the same set up as the P1, but I'm not sure. I think I'm going to wait for the P3 so I can keep the SA.
Technically any modification is illegal, but I wouldn't worry too much.As far as the packing, you can probably use any fiberglass packing.
I run 14/45, no snorkle, stock filter, 125 main, 40pilot, two turns out on fs. I think it is a little rich at lower rpm's, but I like the way it pulls on top. I get some popping on decel, but not that bad.
