Default RE: turn signal splice question

Well, while keeping fingers crossed and now feeling very worried...................when I added my new turn signals I had to enlarge the "bullet" connectors to except the new larger connector by inserting a small allen key and TWISTING[]. Once larger, I just put two together and SQUEEZED[&:]........than applied a boat load of black electrical tape to the connector, wire and harness.................so far so good???

After reading this, I may go back and redo everything..................on second thought.....I think it went just fine and that's how it will stay.
Hey......they actually work too.

Since this has made it for 2 pages, I remember the days when I was young and dumb and would hook my car stereos up by just twisting and electrical taping. Never had a problem but would also never do it again.

Default RE: turn signal splice question

Ok, I have a problem that directly relates to this topic. I had spliced my turn signals with a proper splice tool. Defiantlyseems like a solid connection. One conductor is aluminum, the other is copper. The turn signal only works when the bike is wet. For example, while soaked from the rain, or for two days after I submerged the bike. Now the bike is dry, the turn signal doesn't work. I have replaced the splice about three or four times already. Has anyone had this problem? How to fix it?

I should know the answer to this... I work for an electrical contractor... We all get stumped sometimes. Any help would be much appreciated

Just one blinker is not working. The front left. All other blinkers work fine. The switch seems fine. I am assume that the relay is fine because the rear left blinker works fine (a little fast with out the front left on). The only thing that I can guess that is wrong is the connection at the bulb. I'll try tearing it apart again.
