TUFF LITES (blinkers) from Extreme Dual Sport
#22
Best deal on turn signals in my experience is buying 4 Buell Ulysses rear turn signals at $16 each - $64 for all four. Stems are extremely flexible for dual sporting. The parts guy at AD Farrell's here in Delaware Ohio said most of them are being bought by dual sport riders.
They are DOT, relatively small oval shape, require a $10 variable load signal relay (from about any auto parts store), and I think I remember lengthening the wires soldering on my Kaw signal ends. I did this after trying to use two different sets of small signals. All junk.
Here is a shot of the signals. Here is a shot of one on what appears to be an XR650L
Here is apparently the same bike:
I put them on my Zephyr 550 (looked right) and then put them on my KLX650C. The locator pins on the signals fit both Kaws perfect. The signals are actually Italian. They can be had at any dealer that is willing to get them. AD Farrows carried them, but had to order them for me. Still at about $70 total a set 4 of signals that work and can flex better than the stock ones is great. One OEM was nearly $70, the KL replacements were near $40 each.
Again all I had to do besides mounting them was to put on an automotive no load or variable load relay. The bulbs drew a bit more power at 3W.
No trick LED look, but bulbs that can be had about anywhere, DOT legal, smaller appearing size, and flexible ain't all bad.
Now, what was the part number on that muffler bearing? I need a set for the Ranger - still running no muffler at all! Oddly enough with the 4.0 six it sounds fairly decent and doesn't even pull a look from the cops, so I may not need the bearings.
