I run this system on my CR250 up here in Washington (rear tire). It is the best product purchase I've made in a long time for that bike. With the tubliss system I run 6 to 8 lbs of pressure and can pretty much climb trees now. I’ve used it in the rocks, mud and roots and it has made a big difference for me. Some people are able to run the trials tires but the CR has a 19' rear and that limits the kind of tire I can run.

I don't use this on my KLX because of freeway use. I guess you could try but usually street pressure is so much higher than dirt. Maybe that would cause other factors leading to a blowout?

Good luck!

Saw a guy on the trail this weekend that had one on the rear. It was his first ride on it so I didn't get any opinions on it.

I have thought about running these though.

I saw the video. Thanks. Interesting, but....

personally wouldnt use the ***** or bibmosse on the road, i saw a few of those melt to crap during dakar.
I looked up Bib Mosse, but what are the "*****".. OK let the jokes fly
I ordered a liquid that looks like yellow wood glue, but I have not put it in my tire yet...
Its called "Ride-On".

I have not put the "Ride On" in the "tube" yet... any opinions on that one?

thats stuff looks good, but i dont like the no side wall thing. if it was cheap, i would get it just to balance my tires.

A buddy runs his off road only honda with tennis ***** in the front and swears by them...but he is a cheap f'er....but he is the fastest in our group and easily goes 70+ in sugar....so we can't give him sheet about it.....he smokes the ktm 450 and 300 smoker we got....but he used to race pro.

fyi .... I play sweeper mostly and am happy to get invited

Actually I think they only invite me because I made a set it and forget it rib smoker for eatin after ridin....but thats ok, I'd tear them all a new one on a tripple overhead NE Swell.

I emailed the guys at the company and heres the response=======

Thanks for the e-mail!

At this time they are NOT DOT approved & we have not done sufficient on road testing - so for this & many other reasons including liability we are only recommending for OFF-road use.

We hope to have more on road testing done by the end of this year if you care to check back then for an update.

Thanks again!
Jeff

Here's the story on my experience. I ordered both front and rear, both were back-ordered forever but the front finally arrived. Rear was still back-ordered forever.

Had a Hatfield McCoy long weekend ride coming up, needed to leave on Thursday, Tubliss showed up on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the day before my trip, I installed the front, but as soon as I went to pressurize the front high pressure tube that sits in the rim well, it went pffffffffffffff. It came with two tubes, so for about 17 milliseconds I contemplated trying again with the the spare and seeing if I could get this baby to hold air. But then I thought about a ruined weekend on a once-a-year trip by trying to make this unfamiliar kit work, and so I yanked it out and went back to my trusty and familiar Bridgestone ultra-heavy-duty tube with dual rim-lock setup which is heavy as all get out, but has been solid and reliable.

I subsequently cancelled the order for the 18" which was still way back-ordered without a ship date.

So I think if you are not stupid like I am you might have better luck. I'm sure I probably just did something wrong or glossed over some detail in the instructions. Who reads that stuff, anyway? I'm guessing tomsti does, since his works fine.

Anyway, I have one 21" Tubliss for sale. $50. Comes with one good tube and one bad one. Barely used. I take Paypal. PM if interested.

BTW, I've been meaning to try tireballs, kgwld1, but seems like there's always been something else I needed more. They look real nice. If I go with another system other than a regular tube, I think tireballs will be what I try. The problem I've heard with mousse is that:

1) they wear out and need replacing every so often

2) are expense as a consumable - 1 time purchase not bad, but if you are replacing them often, $130 is up there

3) they do not have a very good feel, and make the tires feel somewhat "dead". I think that would bug me.

Tireballs look like they have all those covered, and appear to be the most reliable of any of the alternative systems out there.
