Trial bike tyres?

Trial bike tyres?
I keep reading about guys using trials tyres for general trail or enduro use.
Who knows about this?
Has anyone tried it on the KLX?
What terrain does it suite?
What terrain is just a bad idea?

I'm not sure about the ideal terrain, but I don't think mud would be that good, seems like it would cake up quickly. When I go riding with some of these guys on Wednesday I'll ask them some questions.

Thanks. I never would have picked them as enduro tyres, but they are getting more and more popular.

I have them on my KLX. I tried the Dunlop Competition Trials tires first. They hooked up better than anything I have ever tried, but I destroyed the rear in three days of riding. I still have the Dunlop front, but a Pirelli MT43 in the back. The Pirelli is dot aproved and has 1,000 miles on it now without much noticable wear. I don't recomend the trials front if you ride in a lot of mud, but I am sold on the Pirelli for the rear. It works great on rocks, roots, sand, hardpack and not too bad in mud. You do have to change your riding style slightly, but not much on the KLX because it likes to tractor through stuff anyway. The Dunlop rear was very unstable on the road and scary in the corners. The Pirelli corners as good as any sport tire I have tried on the road and is stable at 10psi.
