Thank you everyone, for your concerns, it's very much appreciated. We were lucky. Yes, there was a loud pop, which I immediately knew what was happening, then I looked for the sound and saw the tree heading right towards my dad.

 

Good that you are safe. Also that you have shown me a new way to post pictures.... nice! Never thought about using PicasaWeb. Thanks for the idea. I'm also wondering if anyone else on the forum has ever used this format to display multiples??
