+1 Looking good , Those are some beefy barkbusters, and I like the LED signals in the hand guards. I need to look at my signals when I finalize my X2 install. May be an excuse to go with some bright LEDS. I just got an email today, saying that my Vapor shipped. Played with my bike yesterday. Cleaning and re greasing all the bearings. Waiting to mount the X2 until the Vapor is here.

I am really happy with everything so far. I can strip the front of the bike apart in a few minutes. My Vapor got ordered today, and the HDB mount for it should be here pretty quick.

The Cycras look good. I really wanted tHE HDB guards because of the Mirrors, turn signals and top clamp that becomes a dash for the vapor. I was able to simplify the whole front end of the bike. The vapor should be here next week.

I received the Vapor speedometer the other day and started playing with it immediately. I decided to remove the old speedo connector and use all the stock wiring that I could. I managed to make all the indicator signal lights work (turn, neutral, high beam) and the stock engine speed sensor wire. This cleaned up the front of the bike in a big way. I manufactured an interim mount for the vapor which also mounts my Nuvi and CSX 60 gps units. I have an aluminium mount for the vapor and a key switch on the way. I guess the only things left to go would be grip heaters and perhaps a small wind screen, if I can sort one out.

Looks good red!! I have an empty day on the calendar tomorrow, so I get to "play" with my bike. Really all I have left to do is mount the spedo sending unit to the caliper, and aim and secure the bottom of the headlight, oh yeah, turn signals too.
You have a nice neat and clean install there. The KLX is great, you can set it up for whatever riding you are doing. You look like you have yours set up more to the adventure riding side of things, where I'm gearing mine more towards the woods, or trail riding side. If I had all the electronics that you have up top, I'd be replacing expensive bits left and right.
Just curious, why two GPS units?

Thanks Dan,
The beauty of it is that I can remove the touring stuff in a few minutes. I have my eye on a couple of trips this summer. One around southeast oregon and the other that will take me south through Montana, and then back north through Idaho on this trail

at least that is the plan.

Red, you're going to need heavier fork springs when it's all over.

But seriously, that's some clean work there. Very nice.
