You will have an easier time of installing than I did because the 09 front fender is no flat on the to where it meets the bottom of the light. You can see it in the pictures. I built an aluminium angle bracket. I will post pictures later.
The white one was in stock the green one had to be ordered. In the end I like the crisp look of the white. Either way it is still a lighter light.

I am going to mess around with it while I wait for the rest of the stuff to come. I think the light has a better spread than the stock one but I don't think it is any brighter. I don't ride in the dark much anyway. If you want a lighter bright light then the HID is the way to go. Mucho pesos.
Okay then, will delete key switch and find another. Thanks for the great post. I also wasn't willing to shed so many pesos for HID, although I may look for a helmet light that I can use on the bike or on other toys, like a snowmobile.

Ha ha, you guys are killing me.
Sorry for sending your great thread off topic there red.

TNC I did see the KLX decal, but passed on it for now. I may do it in the future.

Redpillar do you think there is room for the stock spedo behind the headlight shroud? It almost looks like with the X2 mounted correctly there isn't much room between it and the bars.

I can't remember the topic.

I just went out to see if the stock speedo would fit and it can be shoehorned in there. It would be about two inches higher than normal, and you would have to build a bracket to mount it. for the money though, the vapor is pretty nice and small, and has more stuff on it. Stuff is good.

Hmmm I like stuff a lot. My funds are a little tight right now though, so it will have to wait. I looked at the Endurance model (I don't think i need all the features of the vapor, the endurance looks smaller and it is $50 cheaper) but was advised to go ahead and get the Vapor.
I guess I'll see how it fits when my X2 gets here.

I received a package in the mail on Friday.

I have dry fitted everything and rewired the LED turn signal lights. I have wired a new key switch but I don't like the quality of it so I am going to look for something different, but as far as the HDB hand guards go, they are topnotch and everything fits really well.
Here are a few pictures.

I should have the vapor here in the next few weeks and then I will start figuring out how to build a new windscreen and GPS mount.

Those flip mirrors are sweet, I like how they tuck away inside the hand guard. I tried to do that myself with some modified bar-end mirrors but my fab skills were inadequate to make them survive the trees and rocks and I ended up pulling them off and stowing in the pack. lol
