is anyone up for this? or have any ideas or tips I might just trade it in for a mint 04 suzuki gs 500f. or a bandit 1200. but i love my dual sport. I like offroading. But i just dont know what to do. I need help. pro cycle wheels are so expensive at a litle over 1 grand. its just too much.

whats wrong with the set you have now. if you want street tires, just buy a set of 18 and 21 one inch street tires. and dont trade for a street bike, youll just miss the klx every time you see a dirt road.

The Kenda K-270 tires are a good 50/50 tire, that might be a good option especially for the off road. Don't go completely street tires, you will regret it.

I personally use the michelin sirac tyres on my old 1990 KDX125 (21" front, 18" rear) as I was using the bike mainly on road, but did some trails at the weekends & those tyres are great on road, hold their own off road & have had an amazing life..

Or you can do as I have just done for my 09 KLX250 & buy a set of supermoto wheels, but remember you will need a healtech speedohealer to make your stock digital speedo read the correct speed when you have the supermoto wheels fitted..

Hi Cory,

Im in the Uk & those Michelin siracs are stocked in a few online shops over here, but im sure you would be able to order them from a michelin supplier where you are..

Here is some pics of them on my '90 KDX125:

As for the supermoto rims for a KLX, not sure where you can get them in the US, mines are the genuine Kawasaki made ones for the 250SF model (D-tracker) & I got an amazing deal on mine, the pair brand & new boxed, for £220 & that in usd is $340... As redpillar says you may find someone on here from Japan who can send you a set over...
