Good point.. man this bike feels unstable at >65 mph.. it feels like the front end is twitchy like you said.. but not dangerous.. doesnt feel like it will wobble out of control.. its just un-nerving. I rode an 87 KX 125 (SCREAMER)!!! completely stable at any speed.. and a european model 94 or so DT 125 (SCREAMER)!! completely stable at 75 mph. I wonder if changing the front forks / head would change the feel at high speeds.. or trying different front tire? Also, in wind gusts.. those little tall rear view mirrors catch wind and blow the bars to one side (also un-nerving) makes me want to rip them off the bike.

It's hard to describe. On the road bikes I've ridden the front end is so stable that you could let go of the bars. On the KLX I really feel like I need to have a death grip. I thought that the death grip might be the cause but it persisted when I loosened my grip. I'm glad I'm not the only one. It feels great up until high speeds. The head bearings feel like they are adjusted just right.
I want to put on rimlocks one day and I can only imagine how bad it would be after that.

FMF Megabomb and Q4 muffler came in today. Installed it - no other mods - left airbox duct in place.. THE BIKE IS A DIFFERENT ANIMAL!!!!! It climbs to usable rpm fast enough now.. it screams at 7000 rpm, and there is real power at the rear wheel now.. it behaves like a real enduro.. I am impressed.. interpreting dyno numbers is misleading... it is PERFORMANCE that matters.. from throttle response, to acceleration to usable rpm to powerband... I am satisfied right now !!!!!
