TOP Speed Question
So i know the klx250s isn't designed for highway rides, but the highway is most likely the safest way to work each day.
I noticed that my bike will cap at 95km/h[GPS Speed][113 Speedo] (~59mph) @ 7000RPM on a flat road (less on incline) Is the 2020 model not capable of going any faster?
Note:
Carby Version
I only weigh ~67KG (147lbs)
Mods; Alloy Bash plate, Bark Busters, Stock rims and wheels

Hmmm, interesting. When I had stock gearing, my bike would easily get me above 60mph. Even now it will also though the engine is wrapped out a lot more.
When it gets up to your current top speed, is it cutting out and burbling and acting something like that? Or does it just not go any faster?
Just to confirm, your bike is a 2020 model year with a carburetor?

Its not US spec. Like most things Australia is a wee behind on things. When buying this bike I also thought it was EFI but found out later it wasn't but I was set on this bike either way. Guess I might be having to upgrade it earlier than planned

Ah, Australia. That makes sense. I had the same question on how a 2020 MY bike could be carb'd. My 2006 is obviously carb'd also and runs great. I wouldn't be upgrading to FI over this. I personally much prefer carb over FI - but that's a matter of debate for another thread I suppose.
I'm certainly not a fueling expert here but others are. I'm curious though - how's the fuel quality there? And what's your elevation?

Some klx's have a rpm limiter in the top gears, I thought it was only FI units, but maybe not?
I would research that on here and do that mod.
I dropped 1 on the countershaft and never have hit a rev limit or max rpm. It is a limiter of some type. I have an 07 so I can't help you other than tell you that is what it is.
