I have a 13 t front sprocket which has ironically given me MORE top speed that I had with the stock 14 t.

I could never get to reline in top gear with the 14 t sprocket because the little 250 just couldn't get past the wind resistance.*

My best top speed with the stock 14 t sprocket was 126 km/h while I have managed 136 km/h with the 13 t! *I also like the 13 t better for steep off road terrain!

With my stock 14 tooth I could only get 72mph on a non windy day. After I changed to the 13 tooth I have no problem getting to 72mph hour with wind and a top speed of 75mph. I gained speed with the 13 tooth but lost about 5 miles per gallon of gas.

I've topped 130kmh with 13/45 combo. Pushed 150kmh with 14/42 (stock) gearing. GPS speeds.

5 miles per gallon? thats alot...especially since the bike only holds 2 gallons....331 kit sounds like my answer to low end torque

have a 15t front...stock rear...went for a ride yesterday...against 15 mph winds and slight incline...full throttle...was going about 83 mph...the rpm just sat at 8,000 rpm and throttle was twisted all the way...maybe i'll need a 351 kit if i'm thinking about heading up to the mountains...
