If done with slow easy pressure, the brackets will cooperate first, which is what you want.
Awesome, I'll see what kind of modifications I can do, my friend has a
pipe bender so I'll give that a go!

I'm just glad I did it early enough and had decent weather, I had to drive over a tall mountain pass that's probably got 2 ft of snow up there by now. I didn't want to buy snow tires for the truck, just to pick up the bike.

Congrats on the new bike.
Fortunately where I'm heading, it'll be around 50-65 degrees f, so shouldn't have to worry about much snow but the good news is, I'll have my fiance with me to keep me company and awake!

Nice bike, congrats! Nothing like the feeling of going to get a new bike!

I did 18hrs/1150miles only stopping to load the bike back in Feb, loved every minute.

Back in August when I went to pick up my new bike I was like a little boy on Christmas morning. I sat at the dealers shop for four hours waiting for them to prep it, and charge the battery, and test drive it. The last Kawasaki (and dirt bike) I owned was a 1973 KX 250. It was also the last new bike that I bought. After it was loaded and tied down, I got in the truck, started it, and when the radio came on, it was playing the Cars: "Let the Good Times Roll." For the younger folks here; "Kawasaki Lets the Good Times Roll" was their sales pitch back then:
. I sat for a while and thought how this was meant to be. Enjoy!

That's just showing it was fate Pine! As I believe this one was as well, when I put my ad up to trade my drz, I only would have wished to have gotten exactly what I was asking for, somehow it happened, very excited about it!

What are your tie downs hooked to, looks like they are not much of an angle, I have one of those bars where you can tie down 3 bikes, but I always use the outside loops. The tipping factor is greatly increased the closer the tie down locations are to the line of the bike.

Dude You sounded just like me 6 years ago, I ordered my bike as soon as I saw it on line, I called the dealer who said he had 2 coming in, the first two in Western Wa, the day they called was Tuesday before thanksgiving and said it would be ready on Wednesday, I was there when the doors opened at 8 after driving an hour to get there, they were like uhhh we meant later today, I got to watch the bike be uncrated and assembled. good times!!!
