one last question...
Ive found that when cold i have to turn the idle up to start and warm-up but once warm it idles to high and have to turn it down.
Did you all find this with the big bore? Im assumming that as it breaks in it will sort its self out?

Looking good so far from what I can see.
I think your idle is too rich. Lean it out 1/4 turn at a time, speed up the idle and see how it runs hot and cold.
Idling at 1500? I don't think it will go much lower than that because you now have a 250 flywheel and 350 cylinder.
I make all adjustments hot and see how it works out cold.

Thanks David, 1300rpm - 1500rpm is what I aim at... ill have a play around with the idle circuit tomorrow.
After i ride today I have tried to do some WOT runs but I have done something to the main circuit... the engine looses all power/bogs down really bad between 3/4 and WOT, and will not pick up... I’m wondering if I the main jet has come loose and dropped out...
I am only thinking this because at the start of the ride it was ok and I could get power at WOT but by the end the ride the midrange was a bogging down a little and WOT wouldn’t work (this ride was a trail ride so was out for about 4 hours).
I’m thinking ill have to take the drain plug off tomorrow and have a look…
