tm accelerator pump
Can anyone direct me to the tm accelerator linkage thread that showed how to shim the rod to get a smaller shot of fuel .

With TM33 the popular mod is to shorten the AP rod by about 0.15" to make it ~2.7" long. That, supposedly changes the AP timing to better suit the KLX.
Probably even more important thing is to make sure the AP nozzle is adjust just right so that the fuel spray hits the needle right above the jet needle opening.
That 'splashes" the extra fuel around and helps getting it vaporized and into the cylinder when it's need.

It's not pressed in, it's mainly held in place by tight rubber grommet and can be easily turned after you remove the float bowl.
Sometimes they do get little stuck though, don't destroy it if it's stuck.
The bottom end of the nozzle (the end that seals against the fuel passage in the bowl) has a slot on it like a screw so you can turn it with a screw driver.

Use Needle nose to turn the piece sticking into the carb body. No need to remove the bowl. I've done it it's only held in by an o-ring. Hook up the fuel and hit the throttle to see if it bounces off the needle. Adjust as needed. Wear glasses fuel in the eye hurts like hell.
