Ran on them a few hours this evening. They worked great! I think thick mud may be the only place they are not as good as a knobby, as you say, Dan, seems like they would load up and not dig. If you can keep from spinning, they work great. Once they start spinning, probably better to back off and easy does it for best traction with these.
No mud this evening, though, but lots of rocks and roots and they worked better than any knobby I've ever tried. And I've tried a lot. I'll be using them in a hare scramble race on Sunday, so they should get a good work-out there. Hopefully it's not a mudder.
Yo scallen, what's wrong with my chain? Actually, those are gold colored to begin with, that's not dirt. Ok, maybe a little dirt, but really not much.
Oh, the front tire worked well, too - much more confidence inspiring that what was on it previously.
