Default Tire Time

Just got a set of Michelin AC-10s for the KLX today. Finally going to be free of those stocker tires soon so, YAY me!

I ordered a Spoke Torque Wrench from RMATV a few weeks ago to use when I relaced my rims on my YZ250 and, when it arrived, guess what? None of the 5 spoke attachments fit the spokes, lol

I emailed Rachelle at RMATV and she asked if there was anything else they had that I would be interested in. I told her that I would be interested in a nice pair of Michelin AC-10 tires in 110/100-18 and 80/100-21. She said OK so I need to ship the wrench back and use $25 of my $50 certificate to cover shipping and they'll be here soon.

Anyone using Michelins? I hear the AC-10s are pretty good tires off road, but haven't heard anything first hand...

You're getting what I've been using for the past 6 months. I think you'll be impressed. I've been running 18 psi front and rear with good results (no rimlock.)
I went for the narrower (but taller) 110/100-18 over the 120 section rear and have been very impressed with these tyres. I would be keen to hear a opinion from anyone whose fitted the larger 120/90-18 rear.

If RMATV had 120/100-18s available I would have ordered them, but they didn't offer any so I went with the largest ones they had in stock.

I am glad I checked this thread tonight because it reminds me to pack up the spoke torque wrench to ship it off tomorrow, lol
