Tire changing tools

Adam is sure good at trail side repairs.
For tire changing, I use 3 irons and some water or soap if available. I've never used powder on my tubes. In the garage, I just change tires on an old carpet or tire underneath the rim. You can expect a few pinches here and there when you are learning. Don't expect to be done until it holds air.

I dont know how anyone works with those thin gloves on, i know the way i work and those gloves wouldnt last long at all, like seconds. Hell the "mechanix" gloves dont last a year... and i only use them to take crap apart, that seems to be when i bash my hands. Need to be able to feel to put things back together, cant do that with gloves.

It's a good thing your not a Maintenace mechanic like I am in a food factory. We have to wear them in the RTE ( Ready To Eat ) area's 100% of the time over a pair of cotton gloves. Yup, it sucks, but what can you do. It makes the job interesting at times when your trying to put in smaller nuts and bolts.

Yeah, I did it that way for 50 years. No more. If the gloves are around, I'll wear them.
